One night of good beer can really change your life

In 2002, after a lame day at the office, Franconian-born and -bred Tessa decided to attend the Great British Beer Festival in London.

Little did she know it would change her life forever. A handsome and cocky American beer importer was drinking, clad in shorts and sneakers, at the European bar. They started talking — okay, arguing — which led to a whirlwind courtship and a marriage 6 months later.

Fast forward to now, and she has been working at Shelton Brothers, Inc. for 12 years and counting. She deals with the administration side of the business: licensing, labels, permits, registrations, reporting, boring, etc.

She is also involved in Dan-management, which is the most challenging and but rewarding part of her duties. Lucky for her this is balanced by a healthy dose of traveling with Dan all over the world to find and visit breweries.
