Mjödhamnen Mölska Tallstrunt
Mjödhamnen • Sweden
From the meadery:
“Our muse for this braggot is the 18th century swedish singer and composer Carl Mikael Bellman who wrote songs about drinking “tallstrunt” ale. The word “tallstrunt” is an older term for the early summer sprouts of scots pine, a common tree in Sweden. By balancing quite neutral honey and malt with opal hops and the aromas of pine tree through its sprouts we’ve created a fresh, crisp and easy to drink braggot with hints of citrus, and a pine forest stroll. We’ve found that both conservative beer drinkers who prefer a pils or lager and those looking for new experiences are able to really enjoy this brew.”
