Reichenbrander Roter Ritter

The beer typical of the Chemnitz area in the late 1800s, when Reichenbrander was founded, was a top-fermented brown ale. Roter Ritter (“Red Rider”) is broadly reminiscent of this style—orange-red-gold, with a yeasty nose of black currant and blackberry and bready, grainy flavors. The additionally malty, honey-ish palate is followed by a roasty and long-lasting bitterness.
