“April, 2004:
During this spring, we have developed and brewed our first ale – Oppigårds Golden Ale, an ale brewed of the finest English malt from Norfolk County, malted in Yorkshire by Thomas Fawcett Maltings in Castleford. To balance the sweetness from the malt we have made rich additions of English Fuggles and East Kent Goldings hops and the German aroma hop Herzbruck Hallertau.

Oppigårds Golden Ale is a golden, well hopped ale, which is matured in our cold cellar for a couple of weeks before filtration and bottling. It has a rich, malty, flavour with a long lasting hoppy aroma.”
