A take on this traditional style leans hoppier than the average Dusseldorfer’s but still sits squarely within the style. Dark fruit and faint, but fragrant, citrus characterise the subtle nose while the flavour hints at dark rye bread, gentle caramel, and fruit skins. Extremely clean and clear, Oberkassel wraps its soft flavours in a firm but friendly bitterness, fading gracefully from your palate between sips. Understated but secretly quite complex.
