“Life in Rapperswil wasn’t always as easy as it is today. In 1350 the city was attacked and the castle demolished. The city’s first brewery opened in 1845 and had to close soon thereafter. Sadness and boredom overtook the city until finally, in 2000, the Bier Factory began to brew its fantastic beer. As homage to the city the beer was developed to the tastes of its inhabitants.
